does any one have any good free image site for miliitary images that they could let me know

There's quite a few in this site's pattern vault here Occupational, military and patriotic .
Also, try your library. Sometimes they have some of the scroll saw books with patterns.

Some years back I bought the Corel Gallery 2 book and disk. It has many, many military clip art and images among its 15,000 clip art images and 500 fonts. Don't know if its still available but a Google search should help you.

I use the National Archives but you could start here DefenseImagery.mil
Any of the military branch sites will also have oodles of images that you can use as well.
