Talking Moose and saw completed today.

I made the moose from some scrap walnut and bought a piece of poplar for the antlers. I used a #5R for the moose and a #7 skip tooth for the antlers. The eyes are 3/8" button plugs painted white and black, antlers stained golden oak.

The saw handle is Walnut and maple and the blade is the same maple, cut with a 2/0R blade. All material is 1/4" thick stock.

Very nice, Merle! I particularly like the saw. That's a great idea.

Great job of cutting on both projects I think I like the moose best, I may have to cut one myself. Thanks for sharing.

G'day Merle,
Beauts, both of them.
That's a flash looking moose and the saw is really nice.
I'm still working on an idea I have for cutting those pesky teeth.

Hi Merle, you have done a beautiful job on both pieces! The saw is really impressive... not only for the eagle but also for all the saw teeth you had to cut!!!

Nice work on both. What are the dimensions on the saw and where did you get the pattern?

Outstanding work Merle! Love the moose even though the saw is quite a bit more difficult. I just like those cartoon characters. BTW - The saw is beautiful and has a lot of intricate cutting. Both items are very nice.
