It is difficult to get the hang of and needs LOTSA practice. I thought I'd take mine away on business, to keep me occupied in hotels, but I got sick of climbing disarming the fire alarms. I follwed a tutorial which gave lots of ideas for colout - paint washes, coloured pencils, water-colour pencils etc.

I did a couple of things, but decided it wasn't me. I use my pen to sign my work from time to time.

To be honest I don't remember how long I've had my wood burning pen either or where it even came from, it has to be 20 years old or older, just thought I'd give it a try, it is fun but got very hot to handle after a short period of time.

The rag I wrapped around it got scorched so that is not the answer HeHeHe!

Make sure you keep these items. Down the road you can look back on them and really see how far you have come.
That is a good first start.
