Default Anyone in Wisconsin?

Hello everyone,

I am in sunny, warm Wisconsin - Milwaukee to be precise. OK OK, sunny and warm in the summer at least

Just wondering who else out there are in WI (but please, lets not discuss the Packers k?). I have seen posts where some people don't scroll during the winter (tell me it isn't so!!)..are you in the same boat? (My scroll saw is in the basement....is this a no no?)

What subject is most popular with people in your area? My last (and first) show did very well with items of Faith.

GO PACK! (yes, a die hard fan)

My scrollsaws are in the basement as well. Its a year around addiction, I couldnt imagine going without it all winter. Besides, winter for us starts in september and goes until almost june lately it seems doesnt it? I am in Racine County, Kansasville to be precise, nice to meet you! As for the PACK, what did you think of the Mil Journal the other day after the Pack, lions game...the headline read "good...for nothing" ! LOL

I spent the first 18 years of my life next door in Minnesota. I won't dog on the Packers just because I'm a good guy Go Vikings!

My saw is in the basement also cool in the summer and warm in the winter the only complaint is from my wife she hates sawdust. but it is quit with the door locked to my side of the basement. I only let her in after the vacum has been shut off and she still finds lots of dust.

Oh well I still have thousands of board feet of lumber to cut maybe she will get used to it by the time it is gone.He Heeeee.

I am in cloudy and cold Janesville. Seems to snow real easy around here. My saw is also in the basement and I use it more in the winter, am on the golf course when weather permits. I don't sell anything, just like to make gifts for friends and family. I gave up on the packers. Not good news here with GM closing their oldest plant last Tues.

Kindly,

Wisconsin is cold yes, but at least we know when to expect it, and it usually dosen't cause too much damage (except for last year, when one of the Pick-n-Save stores' roof caved in from the snow!!).

I have customers (at my job) from all over the country, and folks in CA rib me during winter..my reply being "at least we are not shaking, or covered in mud, or having our stuff burned by wild fires". Every place has its down sides..and up sides.

My big upside here is that this is where my grandchildren (and of course children) are. Only reason I don't move back to AZ - where I lived from the age of 9 till I graduated and joined the military.
