Greetings everyone. I got such a great response from the last question I put on this forum, I thought I would throw up another one.. I use a Delta P.20 model 40-680 and occasionally I need a spare part. The outlet where I originally bought the machine from don't seem too interested to help me and it takes ages to order a part in. I have been in touch with Delta in the US but have been told they don't ship outside the US or Canada. Does anyone know of a franchise in the US who would send parts Internationally?? |

Silver Fox: In the past someone posted this info: Total Parts Direct get to their site then Click on Delta then Scrollsaws. I never ordered anything, but this might help. Good luck, Dick Sorry for the mistake. See next post. Thanks Mick Last edited by Dick-Miraglia; 11-07-2008 at 09:41 PM. |

silver fox, I believe Dick meant Tool Parts Direct . com - The Online Tool Repair Parts Store You have to click on Delta then on "other saw parts" to get into the scroll saws. They have a long list of Delta scroll saws. I have never ordered from them so don't know if they ship out of the US or not. You can call them at 866-597-3850 Let us know if you order from them.

Hi silver fox, I too own a Delta P20 and was not happy when the parent company Black and Decker decided to discontinue the Delta line of scroll saws. They forced customers into a position of seeking replacement parts from a third party. I thought that was a pretty dumb thing to do. I also own a Delta table saw, miter saw, joiner, and drill press. Now I,m concerned when I may need parts for any of my Delta tools that some bean counters have decided to stop stocking them. So far I haven't needed many parts and believe they make fairly good products. That said, I will think through any future decisions to buy any more of their woodworking tools. I wish you the best in finding the parts your looking for.

i too have a P-20 and have a hard time getting parts. Was told on the phone that once the parts are gone from warehose that will be the end of scrollsaw parts. they are phasing out the scrollsaw and will not carry anymore parts .So two things can happen I guess sell saw while it is still working, or stock up on parts that you may think you will need. It is a bunch of %^$#@$%^*) to ma and I think black and decker sucks big yime . Delta jointer, scrollsaw (2_ sanders and a ban saw But you can bet one thing I ll be more careful next time

Thanks guys for the info. When I was shopping around for a scroll saw, I heard Delta had a very good name which is why I bought the P.20. But now, like yourselves, have also been told that once any spare parts are gone, their gone! So, the question is 'what do I do with a big scroll saw which I can't use?' Maybe build a frame around it and use it for a mailbox? Thanks again for your help and advice. Cheers. Silver Fox aka Warwick |

Buy a Boat and use it for a weight when done fishing cut the rope and kiss it good-bye. Yhan remember the it was Black & Decker that did this trick to us all P 20 owners.

Ditto on Mikestools.com I think they watch you type as you order and ship it as you click on "submit".

Thanks everyone. Croaker, I feel the same as you do about Black & Decker. They have let us scrollers down big time. |
