Has anyone noticed a difference between Olson 2/0 & 2 blades and FD in the same sizes. I tried to compare the 2 blades in the 2/0 size and couldn't detect much of a difference. For some unknown reason I tend to use FD, but I'm not sure why.

I once experimented by holding an identical (in size) two of my completed puzzles up by a corner piece and measuring from one corner to its diagonal. One puzzle was cut by Olsen 2/0 and one by FD. The Olsen puzzle was almost a half inch longer, meaning that the pieces were not as tight-fitting. I haven't used an Olsen since, except soimetimes to cut around the edges of the picture before I start cutting pieces. Carter |

LOL this cracks me up, here we go again with the blade comparison. I use the Olsen blades. You have to try different blades and see which ones do the job best for you. That's how you find the best blade. My two cents... Tom |

Most blades I use are FDs but sometimes I will use Pegas puzzle blades depending upon the type of puzzle I am cutting. I seem to be able to control the Pegas blades better for color line cutting. Also sometims I will use Olsen PGT blades on some things if I want a little cleaner cut on thicker wood. Once again it is all just a matter of taste and what works best for the type of cutting you do.

I use both. In my opinion the FD last a bit longer. Dean |
