Default sad day

It is a sad day at my house--the Mrs thinks I should sell 1 or 2 of my scroll saws(I only have 4) a old dremel, a 18" ryobe, dewalt 788 and my new ex21. I feel that a guy can never have enough tools. They are a having a town wide yard sale tomorrow, so I guess I'll put out the old dremel and the Ryobi. I should put the Ryobi on e-bay but shipping would be more than it's worth. Guess if I put a high enough price on it I can put it back in the basement---Richatd aka thumbs

OHHHH I feel your pain! Out of the 4, if I had to choose 2 to peddle it would be the 2 you chose also.

Sell tools! I did not think that was possible! But then just think of what new tool you can buy.

Look at the bright side. You could use the money you make on the sale to buy a few pieces of nice wood or some sanding drums, or.......

Talk her into making them. A new table saw would make short work of cutting the material if sandwiched between thin ply. A new 30" scroll saw to make valances with a pattern to match the material pattern. Of course you will need a new lathe to make those nice curtain rods. ect....
So when she said " Honey New drapes and a matching bedspread are going to be expencive!" This is what she had in mind. The selling of old tools is to make room for the new ones she wants you to buy.

Alan.

And don't blame me if you get a cast iron frypan upside the head if you show her this.

Just to even this out (it was sounding kinda sexist!!!).

Each time I have upgraded my saw, himself has found a buyer for my old one (usually in the pub). Apart from two Dremels, I have only got one of anything, whilst he has zillions of tools. His maxim is "he who dies with the most tools wins" and I'm sure he has a multiple of tools that do the same thing (he tries to pretend they are all for something different).

Hmm mmm, come to think of it - I think he collected the money for my saws too and I cannot recall getting any of it - it certainly didn't go on curtains (drapes) or bedding!

It's just as well he helps me with some of my woodwork, or perhaps he could never be forgiven!!!

Thumbs : I feel your pain, so sorry. You know you could just try to sell them to someone you know instead of giving them away at a yard sell. Cause thats for yard sells are for to get rid of your old stuff, or junk as some say!!!! You would get more out of them if you weren't in such a hurry to get rid of them, this makes sense to tell her !!!!! Marshall
