| Disney princesses! So I want to make a couple princesses for a young friend of mine. I mostly do intarsia from patterns in the magazine, but I was planning on doing these segmentation style and I'm having trouble with the faces. I've been drawing the patterns with Pattern Wizard and doing ok with everything but the eyes and the mouth. If you were me, how would you do it? Would they look bad if I just painted them? I remember somebody doing a beautiful Ariel but I can't find it any more, dunno if it got lost when the board changed. |

| I think this is the picture you were speaking of, but finding actual patterns will be impossible due to copyrights.
I have talked to Neal about this cutting (segmentation) and he told me the inspiration came from a coloring book and he just tinkered with it from there. If my poor memory serves, he made this as a gift for his granddaughter.
Lots of luck.

| I can draw the pictures, no problem But the eyes are so small I didn't know if I could cut them out OK. Seems like Neal Moore cut the eyes out in one piece and then painted them on Ariel, and the same with the mouth. I just am suffering my usual new pattern uncertainties. Thanks for answering! |
