Default A Bridge to far

or one layer to many.

I've been cutting some of Sylvia's Golf signs. Stacked 4 pieces of 4mm ply and away I went with a FD #3 R blade, then another blade, then another, and another, just one more, nope need another.
6 Bloody blades...........

Crikey that ply is hard.
I'd say at a guess it's Tassie Oak veneer on the outsides, but what the centre core is, I haven't a clue. Maybe granite LOL

Will post some pics when I get through chiselling them out.

I know they will look great when you finish them.
You'll just have to work the cost of the blades into the finished product.

I know what you mean John.. I cut allot of 3/8" plywood that comes from all over the world, and some of it is really hard. I use the #5 FDR blades and for the thinner plywoods I use the #3 & 5 polar. But that all that glue sure eats up the blade. On the 3/8" wood I also use an 1" thick board cut the size of my scroll saw table with magnets cut into the bottom, when the blade starts to dull. This way I use the lower part of the blade and they last longer.

G'day Larry,
Don't know why I didn't think of that
I had one cut out for the Dewalt DUHHHHH

It totally blew me away. I've cut Jarrah, Tassie Oak, Sandalwood and nothing has ever eaten up blades like this ply.
