| Can you be more specific on size than "pocket size"? I'd be honored to send some ornaments.

We will be handing these out in Germany to those traveling thru Ramstien AirForce base, and to both those deployed at Landstuhl Regional Medical center as well as the wounded there. We have been ask to send about 4500 downrange to those in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afganistan. For those who can help by cutting out ornaments we have several art classes here in 3 school districts in southern Idaho who can paint/finish and or decorate the ornaments. We are needing at least 7500 ornaments. So we can use all the help we can get. We will be needing them at least by Veterns day in order to assemble the bags and box them up to be shipped out in time to get overseas before christmas. The sooner the better in order to give the schools time to help out. If you can help please send them to:

| I would say anything under 5"x5" would fit easily into a ACU pocket |

| Evie,
Thank you for bringing our post up again, and for your willingness to help us out with ornaments. It is because of people like you and others in this forum that we will be able to gather the needed ornaments for our service members. When they see these hand made ornaments, then they will really how much we love and care for them and the service they render for us.
Thanks to all of you!!!

| Ray,
Would love to help, albeit in a small way, I would still like to contribute. I am going to dedicate one whole Sunday to nothing but these ornaments. When do you need them by?

| Mike,
We need to have them before Nov.15th. The sooner the better, as we have to assemble each bag with letters, ornament, poem, candy cane and a handfull of candy, then box them up for shipping.
Thanks for your help!

| I wanted to get on here personally to thank all of you for your willingness to help us out with Project Rudolph. I wish you all could be there when we hand out these bags and the joy it brings to these troops. Last year we handed them out at the airport and hospital while my husband handed them out to Soldiers and Marines in the Iraqi desert. This year he will come home from a 15-month deployment in November and I am due to have a baby in December. It is a lot of stress, but having support from groups like this makes a huge difference, and reminds us that when you are doing something good like this miracles abound. Thank all of you. - From the Campbell Family - Joe, Tawny and Ceilidha (and soon to be Rhynli) |

| Ray,
One more thing before I get cutting............
Do the ornaments have to be simple or fancy, detailed or plain. Obviously the simpler, the more I'll be able to bang out......Any preference? We have a small grade school in our town. I will check out the website when I have more time, then will call the school to see if they can help with the bag decorating etc.
Best to your family always,
Mike |
