Scrollman, Just got a new catalog form Associated Bag Company. Lots of great stuff at good prices and they will send free samples at NO COST. http://www.associatedbag.com Tom

Evie, you are a thrifty one. Also, very innovative. That's a great idea.

I tend to do the same as you when posting stuff. I can't see any sense in buying a ready made box, that is probably to big anyhow, when I can cut one I have down to size. I still wrap parcels in Brown paper, although I do also use bubble wrap, these days

You could make your own from sturdy card or even thin plastic using a template. Find a small cardboard box & take it apart carefully, then trace round it & make a plan which can be used to make boxes from scratch. Another option is origami. You can construct simple boxes by folding sturdy paper/card. It depends how heavy the item you want boxed is. If it's fairly light, a folded box may be strong enough. Finding somewhere that suplies plain boxes is more straightforward, but making your own is cheaper. Bags are also easy to make from paper. Search Google images for cardboard box template or origami box to give yourself an idea. Last edited by I-saw; 11-09-2007 at 04:25 AM. |

I get my boxes from http://www.fetpak.com/ They are right around the corner from where my wife works. But I have had them ship to the house.
