Default My anniversary!

Today is my one year anniversary of the first thing I ever scrolled with my first scroll saw. Included is a pic of my pride and joy. I'm also including a pic of my last project. I think the hummingbird was more of a challenge at the time.

You know I have to comment on that! Take away the c&c and replace it with wolverton. That's my exact truck, a volvo. Sweetest riding truck on the road too..tons of power, smooth ride and turns on a dime...er well turns tight enough to do a circle around a small car anyhow

Discovery is really working hard with the promotion of trucking and how important it is in todays world. They have released now several shows on trucking and just trucks with technology and the future as well. It's already a fact of course that trucking is the true most dangerous job in the world when it comes to shear numbers of deaths. Crab fishing is considered more dangerous though when it comes to numbers of deaths compared to numbers of fisherman. Soon there will be a series dedicated to the ice road truckers and I did hear they are talking about doing a show on military contractor truckers as well.

anyhow...love your truck portrait!

Jeff, I was actually thinking of you while I was cutting it. I figured you'd like it. The pattern, less lettering, was designed by JayP and I got it from the AFSP site. A friend of my brother in MO ordered it for a friend's birthday.

I don't doing fretwork, but I might have to order that. you say it didn't come with the letter? and if not, how did you get them on? Seems the letters would get smaller as you go to the back. How big is it anyhow? lots of questions i guess...but how many holes would i have to thread? What's an afsp site?

I opened the image in my photo editing program and typed the letters and then moved them onto the truck. I then had to skew the lettering to fit the shape and angle of the trailer. The truck is 14" long and I never bothered to count the entry holes. I cut just this one out of 1/4" BB ply and it took me about 2 1/2 hours or so. Here is the link to the free pattern site. Actually, I believe Kevin (Jedi) is a moderator there. http://groups.msn.com/AbsolutelyFree...rns/index.msnw
