Default Where are all you people

I was just checking the member board and notice that we have 1517 people all members of this message board. I bet that less than 30 of them contribute to this board on a regular basis. I would like to put out an appeal to those other 1490 people to contribute to this board. Put it this way I am a member of the Barrie Woodcarvers and attend their meetings every two weeks when they meet. If I didnt attend the meetings what would be the point of my joining the club. I know that there are a lot of great carvers and ideas out there that we never see or hear about. So I would like to make an appeal that all of you contribute in some way to this board. The members of Fox Chapel have gone thru a lot of trouble to update this site and as we all know the new message board is in the final stages. So lets here from you no matter where you are. I see Newjouger has just rejoined us from Ireland and we now have a new member just joined us from the UK. I know you have ideas to share so I look forward to seeing some of them on the message board.

I resemble that remark :-/ I haven't picked up a carving knife in three weeks. Anytime I head towards the shop, I get a honey-do tacked to my forehead :'( Hopefully this will be the last weekend (coming up) of woodworking only, two more coats of varnish on the microwave cart, put it together, carry it into the house and then back to carving - or least trying too.

Hi All,

I hope you do re ask your question Oma Alice, as Colin suggested, like you I dont read every post but I do read most...if you have any questions, somone here can atleast point you in the right direction if not answer your query themselves. And from the posts BobD has made Fox Chapel is making improvements in many areas. Why not join the board...I don't think it cost anything and you get way more than you could ever buy in experience and helpfulness. So please give us another chance to help you, ok?

Colin, just want to thank you moderators for keeping things active. Most of us do not have a lot to say on many of the posts or the posts have been answered adequately when we log on. Moderating is not an easy task.

Just want you to know that you, and the others, are appreciated. I have posted a suggestion for modification of the new topics. Hopefully, this will lead to greater participation.

Hey Collin, I am way down south in hot Texas
I joined this board last year and learned a lot
I moved earlier this year and during that time the board sort of seemed to get very slow so I got to where I rarely checked it then just quit checking it at all.
I have now started to read the boards again and make a few comments. It is good to see that most of the same people that were here when I first joined are still here.

Alice
join the goup and ask your questions. There are a lot great and talented carvers on this group that will be glad to help you. I know when I first joined here, I thought some of my questions were stupid. I quickly realized that others were having the difficulty as I was. The good people on this group were glad to help and answer any of the questions.
Hey, I am a much better carver now than I was a year ago
and I do ocassionally sell some stuff, I still have questions.
In fact I have a couple of recent questions still near the top on the boards. I have received a lot of great and useful answers here.
