Default Carved knife

Here is an idea some of you may want to try. It is an Opinel knife. They have wooden handles and are thick enough for a decent face carving. You can find them on the web for $6-8.

My neighbor has an opinel and likes it, he used it to clean bark off sticks...but the woodspirit on the handle is unique, probably one of the few knifes with handles you could do that to! Good job

There are many places to buy them. I did a google/froggle search and had lots of hits.

would be interested to know what the shipping is, but these outfits want all your information and I don't play that game...would probably never order from them again anyway....I think they lose a lot of business with that stuff!

I bought 6 online. I don't think it was the link I provided. You will have to shop around to find best price. They can sometimes be found in hardware stores but are usually between $10-12. There are different sizes also.
