I'm wondering if there is anyone that knows how to make a wood pipe that can actually be smoked. Is there a special wood treatment or a specific type of wood, etc. Any info wood be useful.

Trek,

The link below talks a little about using any hardwood - but most eventually burn - as wood has a tendancy to do.

There a couple of other web sites specifically for pipe making and even to order supplies. Tyler lane pipes is one.

I just attempted a fairly long answer to this post.

The system would not accept that message. Unfortunately, I am late going to work and I can't retype it now. If you continue to be interested in this subject please repost and I will reply either here or by email.
