Got that twist aspen cane done.....didn't want to ruin it by carving on it so I just cleaned it up, sanded, used a light stain to bring out the highlights and put on a finish coat of satin poly. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...1540&members=1 Al |

I thought about carving a snake out of this, but it was just too pretty to mess with! Only snakes around here now are snow snakes! I'll see if I can find one and get a photo posted. Al |

Thanks, guys....this was a good find! Kinda wish it was a mite longr, but when they come this good, ya just can't gripe about length! There were a few more of these back in the new growth, but I found this during deer season and had to carry it and my rifle out at the same time. Then the snow hit and it's going to be hard to get back in there this winter. Those whips are too closely grown to get in easily on snowshoes, but maybe I'll try anyway. Al |

That came out great Al! How long is it? What are you planning for a topper/handle?
