carving human face

Hi all,

Long b4 all the dot coms went bust I found a site that taught you the basics of human form. It described the standard layouts for male and female bodies. Does anyone have any idea if there are still NON PAY sites that have this info. I am sure there are, please post here. Thanks

Though these are 'drawing pages' they should give you a good idea of what you need to carve human bodies and faces.

Normally, I wouldn't recommend a whole book for a subject like this, but ...
'The Big Book of Whittleing and Woodcarving' by E.J. Tangerman is an absolute gold mine of all kinds of carving stuff from the human anatomy to woods to sharpening to 180 some pages of too numerous to mention. $12.95 at Little Shavers stock nr 20185. It's one of very few books that I'm glad I bought.

thanks thanks thanks, and I misinformed, the pages were on drawing (why my google search bombed), I have a tangerman book with tons of stuff, I am most interested in the female face at this point. so if there are any more specific to le face/anatomy, please post.

I carve in the round as I do staffs/sticks. i was reqiested to do a female, just at the time I was edging up to doing one anyway.
