I want to thank everyone that has shared their wealth of knowledge with those of us just getting started.
I couldn't have learned all the things that i have from this message board in a lifetime of carving. So my hat goes off to all of those that have shared.

I agree Al, I belong to several groups/lists/boards and all of them are true treasure troves of information.

Where else can you find the combined knowledge of a large group of carvers and be able to ask questions about tools, techniques, types of wood, etc. and get the quick and varied responses you get here?

I LOVE the internet!! (even if it does cut into my carving time once in a while )

This list is one of the best and I also would like to thank my fellow carvers for their kindness and willingness to share their knowledge and experience.

Ditto, I have only been part of this for a few short weeks and in that time I have learned a whole lot from the members of this thread. Please dont be afraid if you are a new comer to this group to jump in and join us. There is so much to be learned and if you never ask a question you may be plagued with the answer for ever. All of us love to learn new things and I for one find I can learn something from even a beginner so share with us and we promise to share with you.
By the way we all love pictures.
