Seeing and reading about you guys making your own knives, decided I had to try it! Actually, I like it! it's pretty good little detail knife and as sharp as anything in my box....which tells me, I am a clutz only when it comes to v tools, I do all right with the straight and narrow!! lol : I will post a pic soon, nothing spectacular to look at...but fun doing it!

stock removal! lol I like the knife, it cuts well and is very sharp and believe the steel is of a good quality, only thing is I used poly glue to bed the blade in the handle, and didn't realize that stuff is so soft! So will have to redo do it with?? maybe epoxy putty?

Epoxy plumbers putty if you have it, or I used JB Weld, steel epoxy. Stuff holds like hell!

I picked up my drill to put some screws in and noticed the phillips head bit was shattered...then I started wondering, if its that hard, how would it be as a knife blade, heated, forged etc?? anyone know? It has to be tough to hold up to all the spinning in the screw heads.... ??? : :P

Probably would be very good, Dave, if you forged it and then heat treated it so it wouldn't be so brittle. Check for posts on post for treating and tempering.
