Default Clip Art for carving

Has any of you used clip art for patterns? I found on the internet some clip art from various sites and have used them to carve Magnets and pins. No authors to give credit to so Am wondering on selling the pieces and the legalities. They are not copies or anything of works of other carvers.

Kind of like the sign for the lady, it was clip art from one area and lettering from another area. Enlarged.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Default Don't know about clip art but...

another idea I've heard about was to go to a cemetery and get some of the old fancy designs from headstones...this would be more for a relief carving. You would need to take some tracing type paper and put it over the design..then rub a crayon or pencil over the top to get the design.
