It's a very foggy Friday here this morning :-/ Looks like I have the day off, YAY! ...still working on my Santa , going out for a 6 mile run in a bit . That's my 'fun' for the day...then some chores..

Enough about me, what are YOU up to today? :

Actually, The DGdaughter wants a rose for herself and a pin and a santa and a............ Think the little darling will keep me busy for a while. Working on a Mallard duck cane head for the BIL and need to get a reference book or a painting book on Mallards.

Golfed this morning. Wife's BDay so guess fishing is out this afternoon. So will carve a bit on something or maybe paint some of the backlog waiting for color. and then out to dinner.

the weather forecast is for snow,freezing rain, rain and hi winds.so decided to stay home and do a little burning on my duck.and maybe later start thinking about my next project.

Well,it's snowing here AGAIN! Still went out for a 4 mile walk in the snow. Then got back into the dungeon and started working on finishing the line drawing of #950 Decapod. Probably six more hours work on the drawing. Got the old beam cut to size, and the ends stained to match the surface patina. 'Nuff for today.

Have been busy the past two days.....mostly painting.

I FINISHED the hunter and dog scene!!! Painted it last night and mounted all the pieces on the base tonight. It's ready for the Charlotte show (tomorrow and Sunday). This weekend will be full of carving, shopping for new tools, and talking with lots of my seldom-seen carving friends.

My favorite part is the whittling contest on Sat and Sun. Tom Wolfe 'promotes' this event and we generally have about 20 carvers goin' at it for about 1 1/2 hours.
