Default Spring Fever

It's nice enough outside to make this old carpenter want to grab his hat and hammer and build something BIG. Two carvings must be completed and new ideas put aside for now. What goes on with You? Ron A.

Default Spring cleaning for me..

:'( I'd rather be doing just about anything else. Have to pick my carving stuff up, except for a very small area...company coming. Have 2 Japanese exchange students arriving tomorrow for a 2 week stay.
Happy carving to all!

Looks like it might finally be starting to get nice here, they are calling for pretty nice weather the next few days. Of course, they were calling for last week to be nice too and we got another six inches of snow. It's beautiful but I've really had enough of it for this winter!!
I've got company coming too. An elderly Aunt, figure if I get busy and have a couple pieces down to detail stage I can set in my recliner, watch movies with her in the evening and work on them. That's what she likes, to watch television and visit. So....I'd better get off here and get to roughing out! Callynne

P.S. If you have a minute, check out the cats and dogs I did last month. Just click on the link below, should take you right to them. In the Ablum titled....Cats and Dogs.....of course! :

That's the one. That's the basset hound that inspected a job site every afternoon. Ron A.

Default Cats & dogs!

Those are really neat Callynne. How do you decide what breed you want to carve next...did you carve some that look like your own pets? My favorite is the Irish Setter, but then I didn't see any Chihuahua's (my pets)

Callynne,

I love those carvings, thanks for sharing them! My sister-in-law would go nuts over the Dalmation.

Thanks
Lindy

Callynne, those are awesome!

Did you use patterns or just photos. I'd love to try carving a dog, but I'd need a pattern since I've never tried one before.

Nice work!!

Awsome Callynne. Love the Basset Hound. Looks like one next door. The eye expression just like him also. Great work on the rest also.
