Default A Doggie ...

This afternoon's cutting .. another JZ pattern but this time one that doesn't take too long!

Interesting one to cut - only 18 holes - cut the first 17 holes in just over 15 mins - then about an hour and a half to do the last one - it's a L-O-N-G cut! There's some very delicate pieces to go round but managed it without swearing ...

If I cut it again I think I'd smooth the outline area above eye a little - it seems a little pointed to me - and yup it's the pattern not my cutting ...

stacked 2x1/4 Finnish birch - FD 2/0 spirals ..

That's one helluva long line! Do you try to cut those long ones as one solid piece or do you cut over to make several piece?

Nice cut, by the way.

Mike,I cut that line one all in one go, starting with the top right of the dog's ear - not sure if that was the best place to start or not but I wanted to get that long thin ear outline done first ..

Andy - I stopped part way round and changed the blade - it was getting kinda dull.
