Default First three projects

I made these for Christmas gifts this year.

First Fret work. I made six of these...

First attempt at intarsia. I made nine of these...

First portrait and first pattern attempt. This is a picture of my mother that I never saw until after her death. I gave it to my dad yesterday and I could tell he really liked it, although he never shows emotion at all. This is the project I am most proud of.

Dan, I would think your Dad loved that portrait.

Thanks for your nice comments. You all helped a lot. I almost felt like I knew what I was doing before I started.

You should be proud of that portrait and I know your father would like it. It is very well done.

That is a fantastic portrait, Dan - both the pattern and the cutting. Hard to believe it's your first!
