Default A Couple of Family Gifts

We're in the middle of road-trip to visit family members that we don't often get to spend time with - these are a couple gifts that I did up to mark two special occasions in my wifes family.

The name plate (walnut and red oak) is the same on both sides. The bird house (baltic birch and walnut) is a slightly modified version of a Sue Mey pattern.

As a bit of an added treat I threw in a couple pictures from our trip down (we drag a small trailer wherever we go) - the fawn is at Porcupine Mtns. State Park and the rock formation is from a sunset tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore - both in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It was a great trip down.

I'll bet the good Dr was suitably impressed. Love the Welcome BACK..

Very nice, Jay. I love the UP but haven't been back for many years.

Great work and for giving me some ideas for a couple projects of my own!

All of them beautiful. Text is very un-forgiving, you did an exceptional job.
The other photo's remind me of how much of this beautiful country I have not yet seen!
