Default Found This In The Firewood Pile

Just finished the Country Cottage Grandfather lock from Dirk Boelman's plans. White oak and black walnut with the top ornament from bloodwood. Every piece is 3/4" thick. Quartz movement with progressive Westminster chimes and a seperate pendulum drive unit. Top three sections have an access door in the rear. Finish is 3 coats of Waterlox Finish And Sealer, with a 4th coat of Waterlox Satin. 1st coat brushed, 2nd coat sprayed, 3rd and 4th coats brushed, and sanded with 400 grit after 3rd coat. Has a hand rubbed appearance. Thumbs up to Waterlox. Stands close to 6 1/2' tall. The oak is from cutoffs from a dry kiln that gave them away for firewood. And some of it was.
