This is my latest cutting and not one of my better ones. 19 louvers with 1/32" wood between them. Does anyone have a tip or idea as to how I should have cut them? 1/8" birch plywood, 1/8" luan door skin for the backer, oak frame. Model A's were made from 1928 until 1931. I believe this is a 29 or 30. THe step plate on the running board is throwing me off. Trivia for the old timers on here. Where was the choke handle located on the model A's?

I agree with Oily, looks good. It all looks good. I really like how the shadow makes the car really stand out. Very nice work.

That "A" really looks good the way it is shown.

Was the choke on the column with the Spark advance?

GRAYBEARDSTL, 2 levers on the steering colunm, 1 for spark the other was the throttle (cruise control)
The choke was a long rod that ran from the bottom of the dash in front of the passenger down to the carb. Could be pulled out or turned out on threads to set the choke as you wished. I had a 29 coupe and a 30 sedan. Should have kept both.

Great to see you back at the saw, Mick. Model A's were great cars, a little care and they seemed to run forever. My Uncle had one that he bought new and drove it until after WWII, bought a '48 Olds, to my knowledge those were the only two cars he ever owned. Yes if you had both those now, it would be worth a gold mine!!

Very nice Mick. Fords are one of my weaknesses. This Model A is a great car. Any info on where the pattern is available?
