Default mushroom fairy

Here is my latest cutting, I call it mushroom fairy. It's cut from 1/8" BB. I still need to put a finish on it, I just put in a frame to take a picture.

Beautiful pattern and excellent cutting! Is that pattern generally available or ordered from some where or your own design?

A very elegant cutting there, Clayton. Stunning. Newbie question for ya, when you use BB that thin, I assume you're using a very tiny blade but are you also using a slow speed? I was just messing around on a piece of 1/4" BB with a reverse tooth blade who's size I couldn't tell you off hand- big though, and I practically tore the wood to pieces. Anyway the mushroom fairy is beautiful!

IgnatiusJReilly;

Did you by chance have the blade in upside down? The teeth should be pointing down toward the table top. Run the blade against your thumbnail to tell the difference.

That is one of the best fairy designs I've seen in awhile. Superb cutting too.

IgnatiusJReilly, usually you would stack cut 3 or 4 pieces at the same time. I have cut several pictures from just 1 piece of 1/8" plywood. I use a 28 t.p.i. 2/0 reverse blade. The speed of your saw should be judged by what you are comfortable with. The speed that you have good control of your cutting. Start with a slower speed and you will be able to advance the speed as you gain more experience.

Clayton, very nice cutting and pattern.
