Default Ramses III

Hi all
My 5 year old grandaughter has gotten into ancient Egypt in a big way, and has just had her bedroom themed. I cut this image of Ramses III for her wall and I think it turned out pretty well. I cut it from 8mm MDF seeing as how it would be painted. Added a couple of coats of paint and then gold metalic. Just needs a nice frame now.

I really like the finish on that. Nice job! I'll bet she loves it!

Nice scrolling Mick! What kind of finish did you use? It looks like Ramses III is painted gold. Your portrait looks sharp!

Oh I do like that Mick. I had two weeks active duty for training at Cairo west in 1985. Brings back memories.

Thanks for your comments guys. Ava adores the picture. The background colour is just a couple of coats of silk emulsion to match the bedroom decor, and the figure is done in metallic gold paint from Opulence which my daughter is doing some hyroglyphs with. I sealed the wood first with diluted PVA and sanded.
I did do the pattern Kevin. Got the pic from a copyright free site. If anyones wants it give me a shout.
