G'day all, Just thought I'd show my latest project. I made this with Sandalwood for the blade and Jarrah for the handle. It was a gift for the Carpenter mate of mine who gave me the Sandalwood stumps. It was his 50th Birthday last night. He loved it. Had a good night and ate two much ![]() I got the pattern from either Wooden Teddy Bear or Wildwood, can't remember exactly. It was a bugger of a pattern to cut, not the complexity, but the actual design. I had to go over it before cutting and add some bridges, and stop some cuts short as there was very little holding things together. I added the hill under the horses front hoof to give it more support. Anyhow, as all ways, comments, both good and bad welcome

Looks sharp! Birthdays are a good excuse for eating too much. I just need an excuse for the other 364.... It's a bummer that you had to modify the pattern, but the results turned out great. --Rob |

John Very nice work. The wood grains and colors are really cool. Having to modify the pattern just gives it your flair and personality. Keep up the good work. Richard |

Very nice cutting John. Mine always break at the ears, never had any problem at the feet. Merle |

Only one thing wrong with it I can see, John. You didn't give it to me! LOL Great work. I have had to do some of the things you describe on other projects from there. I love to work sandalwood, it makes the whole shop smell nice when working it.
