Some of you may remember the 'Anniversary Heart and Rings' I completed about a month ago. A friend at work saw the project and asked if I could make one with a shamrock. After some design changes, this is the final project. The hardest part of the design change was getting the inner opening to fit the rings. I chose a circle. The wood is cherry and the finish is tung oil. It is approximately 6" wide and 7" high. Comments welcome.

Hi Dragyn, Thanks for the comment. I am sure you can see how the shamrock fits into the base, so I will explain the rings. The rings have tennons which fit into the mortise on the stand. If cut correctly, you don't need glue. The original plans for the 'Heart and Rings' came from WoodcraftPlans.com. |
