Default Wolf

Here's a pattern from AFSP made from reclaimed pallet wood.
Hope you like it.
Cut on my older Delta with flat blades.

That sure lucks great, the wolf and the wood seem to match real well. The rounded sides are a nice touch for a well done job.

Thanks Alan, the wood was alot lighter in color with blue in it (left side) found the pattern and knew they should go together.Sprayed with minwax semi-gloss urethane and it darkened up to what you see.

Very nice. Some of those pallets contain nice wood. I am going to do the same with pallets where I work.

Beautiful pattern and great use of discard wood. Don't forget the metal detector for the hidden nails and staples always found in pallet wood.

Sorry haven't been around much,my mother had her hip replaced two weeks ago so been busy at work and visiting with mom.
Brian,I make sure to remove all nails in the wood then run the boards thru my planer and then cut off the ends with the nail holes.
Then I run the boards thru the table saw to insure straight edges.
Then I'll cut the boards into thirds, take top/bottom boards turn them 180 degrees and glue to the center board, one on each side of center board (something like bookmatching).
Some times have to run thru planer again for clean up,most times just have to sand to smooth up glue lines.
George, I don't have a detector so just eyeball the best I can,but I should invest in one.
Thanks everyone for your replies
