Smile Santa

This is a pattern from our own Jediscroller, stack cut two (2) of these and quite a challenge cutting on my older Delta (upper bearing worn).
This is a WIP as I need to cut/assemble frames for these, not sure what kind of wood (oak, cherry,or walnut)any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cut out of birch ply.
Thanks Kevin for a great pattern (holiday 2007 issue #29).

Marshall,Thanks ,It actually looks better in person.
Every time I take pics I look them over I adjust them with the program that came with the camera they look good ,then I post them and they're fuzzy.
May have to only crop them and then post them.

Smile UPDATE-Five Santas Done

Well finished 5 santas for 1 sister, 2 sister in laws, And 2 nieces.
The top two are the 1st ones posted, these were stack cut on my old Delta with flat blades(had three on stack, bottom 1 blew out /went to burn pile).
Bottom three were stack cut on my new Dewalt with FD spirals.
They frames are oak that I picked up at Menards on sale ($2.49),can't make 'em that cheap.FYI-if you have a Menards the frames are on sale 35% off.
The backers are some construction paper from Hobby Lobby.
The wood is birch ply w/minwax spray poly.
Thanks for lookin'.
What a difference the Dewalt and the FD blades made.
