My latest with a frame. Pattern from ARPOP. I think the frame really sets it off. Although this is a store bought frame, I've been attempting to make my own. A real challenge at this time but I'll figure it out eventually.

Good cutting, but something looks a little off to me. Maybe it is the way the cutting is angled in the frame or the way the frame covers some of the cutting on the bottom. Well who knows, maybe it is just me Tom |

I think it is the way the grain in the wood. Kind of swirls. Looks great though.

G'day Merle, Great cutting of Big John. He's my favourite. I think I own almost all of his movies. Only the second pattern I made, and the last really detailed portrait was of the Duke.

Thanks everyone. The pattern calls for an angle. You know the way John sort of leans in and looks at you. The grain is a little different and I was worried about that, but set it on my counter for a while and the more i looked at it, the more I liked it. Enough so I decided to keep it and cut another for the order.
