Very nice Shirley! Did you burn the edges of the wood or leave it plain?

I love that piece. The leopard is well done, but when added to that board and the edge and the clock... very well done and well rounded piece.

Where are you all getting this pattern? I looked on Sue's site, and can not find it. I found a picture of it titled "Graceful Leopard" in the picture gallery, but no pattern... Please help! :-)

Wow, Shirley, you did great on that pattern, and what a wonderfull pattern that is. you can almost pet it. love the way the sholders are so mussaly, and thick. I just have to do that one myself. Say has anyone ever sprayed some velvet on a piece of wood, and then cut it. wouldn't that look great with this pattern. I wonder how you would afix the pattern. mmmm have to go figure that. this pattern would look great and petabale. you think, Playmeforafool:: I get 2 magazines, and this is one. you pay much less for the magazines, than you would for just one pattern. if you don't get them, and love scrolling, I love the mags. they have lots of patterns, and how to do them advise. you will learn so much just buy getting them. I don't sell anything, I am only a customer. and memmber hear just like you. but if you just try one year. you wont be disapointed. your friend Evie |

| Senior Member | I have given that some thought in the past Evie. I was thinking of using the Donjer flocking on a similar project (was a tiger by Fowler).I was thinking of using two or three colors, blending them to get close to realistic on the wood before cutting. Thats when the same thing came to mind...affixing the pattern. My thought on that was attaching my pattern on an 1/8th inch thick layer of BBply, and stack cutting with that on top, which would also help protect the flocking while sawing.I even considered using black flocking to do inside the frets. Then, I was confused on what /how I would seal the wood afterwards. I thought of finishing the wood prior to cutting, but that always seems like a waste to me because once cut, the cut edges arent finished anymore, defeating the purpose of sealing the wood in the first place. With so many questions that I had thought up that I wasnt satisfied with my thoughts on how it would all work out, that project kind of went to the wayside. I do think it would look really neat, and add a whole new dimension to a lot of scrolling projects. Maybe someday I will revisit that idea. Dale
