| my next project... I just ordered Sue Mey's rose heart-wedding pattern...
I'm doing this project for my daughter as a wedding gift..
and I've got 40 days to complete it..
Lucky788scroller did this project awhile ago and his turned out great.
Dale I hope you don't mind if I copy the way you did yours, any tips you can give me on the pattern?
I can't wait to get started on the 200 cuts...

| Hi Trout. Its a great pattern. There were no bad sposts on it, everything cut like drawn, and nothing fell out that wasnt supposed to.If I remember right, the font Sue used was "pristina" , she can confirm that. I did add to the ribbon on the bottom on both sides to enable the date to fit into it, otherwise, it was just a matter of whiting out the original word, and putting in the names using that font. I did send a copy of the pattern to Sue to get her input on it before cutting, and she graciously scooted my letters over a little bit to balance it out better. You will find it cuts out pretty quick, definatly wont take you as long as some of those vehicles youve made!!!! I cut it with a 1/8th inch bbply layer underneath the red oak piece, and that can be used as an overlay if you ever feel like making the newlyweds a photo album to match. I never got that far, I still have the plywood one though for someday if I ever find time to play with photo album making. I dont know if you plan to color the backing, or the piece itself, but I was really happy with the way it turned out using the Artisan Dyes from Artisan Dyes - Woodturners Catalog . Hopefully I helped you out some. Dale |

| Dale, I'm glad you responed... Sue Mey, is fast...I had the pattern within 30 minutes from ordering...
I was going to PM you with a few questions....
I down loaded the pattern on 8 1/2 X 11 paper which made the heart cutting 8" x 8"....
what size is your accrual heart cut out? and frame size?
thanks for the name of the font. I'm also going to put the date and year just like you did that why I said I hope you don't mind if I copy you...
I still have a couple day's before I can start the project, I took on a sucker job..$60 for two cutting boards, two piece of plywood with oak trim for the handles....that's what they want so that's what their getting...

| I should hope not! lol
Trout, with the time difference I only received your pm and order notification this morning (my time), by which time you'd long gone to bed I cannot take credit for being quick, the download link is sent to you by my billing/pattern host company, but it's always good to hear that things happen as they are supposed to.
Dale is on the money re the font ... it is Pristina - see the email sent to you for more details on size and custom modification of the pattern.
Dale, thanks for answering when I wasn't around |

| Trout, Im not sure of the final framed size anymore, but the cut out heart was just over 8 inches,it was printed out on an 8 1/2 by 11. the finished piece was packaged in a box I begged for from a pizza joint, a 12 inch pizza box. I am thinking it was around 11 inches square . You know.... if you could get your other daughter to change her name, and find a guy to marry with the same name as her sister is going to, and you get her then to have her wedding on the same day, you could stack cut em both at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
