Default Club Challenge

Our scroll saw club has started a monthly "challenge" in order to stimulate different skills. This month our challenge was a portrait. Many of our members took patterns from our pattern collection, to complete the challenge. I did the following portrait from a picture taken at a club meeting. These two, are well into there 80's and still scroll. They have been a real inspiration to me. It is my hopes that our members will seee what they can do with a little computer savy and some software.
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Please remember, I am relative new at this.

Well done! If I may give some feedback on your pattern...try to remove some of the "squiglies" when you make your next pattern and defiine the lines a bit more. The end result is a more crisp and precise picture once cut. Sometimes less is more...
I'm sure they are going to be thrilled with it!

Doc,
I think you did a good job on the pattern. The photo you used looked like a hard one to change into a portrait as it did not have strong contrasts to get the lines from, and small details to pick out when changing it to a pattern. I think you were very successful in pulling out a representation of the two scrollers. The cutting was good as well.

Sue and Lois,
Thank you for the comments and encouragement. I'm still learning and your comments are a big help.
