| And just as I was commenting on the advantages of having a MAC when it comes to viruses, here is a great example of the disadvantages of having one...None of the smaller software companies - such as Coyote, or Elements(I think) make software to work on the MAC. So I cannot download trial software to see if I like it :-< I have not really learned how to use the high end graphic software I have on this computer as it is a huge learning curve (I have Illustrator and GIMP).

| As I recall there also exists a program called getright, for windows. Elements is made by Adobe, and is a lesser version of photoshop, so that should be available for mac.

| There are several download managers for Windows. Take a look at www.snapfiles.com in their freeware section. BTW, Opera is an internet browser with built in d/l manager, email, IRC and news reader. It used to be commercial but is now freeware.
Just a brag, but it only took me 1 minute 40 seconds to d/l Coyote Stencil Shop from www.download.com.
Now to install it on my XP box and play with it.

| I purchased Coyote last year and was happy with the results. Then I bought a new computer with Vista and the old program would not load. I called Coyota and they quickly sent me a Beta test for a n ew version compatible with Vista. It works better then the original and I would recommed it. Make sure you ask about the Vista Revision if you have the Vista platform. (Microsofts Vista replaced XP)
Godd luck and happy cutting. |

| Trouble With Stencil Shop I know I must be doing something very wrong. I have had Stencil Shop for almost a year. I have yet to make a pattern that I could use. I can't figure out how to make the pattern fit on an 8X10 sheet. It is always smaller. Also the patterns are very pixelated. Any help with this would be appreciated. I enjoy portraits the best, but have so much trouble making any patterns. |

| Jossef, Why don't you give the people at Coyote a call. I'm sure they will help you. I have Coyote and I find it to be quite easy. I love the fact that I can make a personalized gift in a relatively short amount of time. I have made several using wood with the bark still on for a real rustic unique look. Warping can be a problem but I've dealth with it. If I can get this silly little camera running I will show you pics. Moo |
