Default Dog rescue sign

Well I didn't take on the fishing lure plaque (previous post Short notice job), but a GOOD friend came by on Friday the 14th and asked if I would make a sign for his wife's animal rescue service as a Christmas gift to her.........what could I say besides yes. So I made a pattern and cut it on 14" X 15" X 1" thick Catalpa with 1" Catalpa backer, it still needs a few more coats of Varnish, but here it is. Critique please.

Looking good there. I would imagine that after the finish goes on, it will look even better, with the added richness.

That looks great Plaquerd....what font did you use?
Also how did you make the font look gray, and black?

Thanks for the compliments.

WD
The font is Black Chancery from MS Word, it looks
black and gray because it is cut on 1" thick wood
and you can see the inside edges of some of the
letters making them appear gray.

Doug
Yes it is a very good cause.

G'day Dave,
Nothing to critique
That's a very nice plaque. Both the cutting, the pattern and the layout are excellent.

Well done mate.

You seem to work like me......... The more desperate the job the better the outcome. We call it Management by crisis

What a wonderful sign for a wonderful organization. I can see nothing wrong with it at all. Proportions and everything are just right and the dog... What a face. Did you create him/her yourself or use a pattern? Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.
