Some may recall Sue Chrestensen having to put her dog (shitzu), "Lil Bit" down in March of this year. Sometimes the hardest drawings/cuttings to complete are the ones that mean the most to me.

Some time ago I had taken photos of our new shop dog "Java" (shitzu) and created the pattern titled "Lil Bit Java" for this plaque for Sue. Today was a snow filled day... the kind that felt right for cutting this piece.

It's odd how things turn out sometimes. The look on Java's face resembled Lil Bit enough to create the pattern from her photo ... the pattern waited for the right time to cut it.... and then when photographing it, the light slipped ... giving this mischevous dog the most angelic appearance.

Good stuff Toni. I looked up "friend" in my dictionary and saw it means "to be like Toni Burghout."

Now thats a thought, Beary. I looked up friend in my dictionary and it said. or read, companion, buddy, chum, comrade, homeboy,"girl" , pal, and whoo playmate, and this is Toni,well-wisher. then the next one was. sociabale,affectionat,amicabale, buddy-buddy,close familiar, helpful, intimate, neighborly, on good terms, pally, sympathetic, and welcoming...then there was friendship...googwill, affection, amity, attachment, concord, familiarity, friendliness, harmony, an intimacy
