American Gothic by Grant Wood, made out of wood of course 24 x 32 Birch plywood...and a Sheltie inspired from a Mike Sibley drawing.

outstanding detail on each cutting. You did a great job. I think I'd like a darker frame on the dog though. That's just my opinion. Beautiful work! David

Very nice. I like the way the grey background in American Gothic enhances the attitude of the characters.

Nice cutting.

Great work Charlie. If I had to pick one it would be the Sheltie, but I like both of them.

I should have explained in my first post. The Sheltie is a cabinet door and the customer wanted just the cutting in it and still use it as a door. I'd have darkened the "frame" too if it was my choice.
On the couple...It isn't backed yet. I stood it up in front of Masonite to show some contrast but it will be backed in black. Thanks for the constructive criticism and kind words

Beautiful cuttings! I really like the grain on the American Gothic pic. The Sheltie is just gorgeous. Great work.

Excellent work Charlie. When I looked at the frame on the Sheltie I thought Wow thats a lot of work to make a frame using style and rail cutters.
