Default Printing pattern problem

Hello all;
I have attempted to print several patterns from the vault but the are blurry and not defined. I have used PSP8 and used the sharpening filter and that did nothing. I have downloaded Gimp and basically have the same results. I am saving the thumbnail from the vault on my harddrive and then opening it in the above programs to repair it. Has anyone else run into a similar problem? Would appreciate any help.

Are you saving the thumbnail or the full-sized patterns? If you're saving just the thumbnails I don't think anything will clean them up when enlarged from that small. Your best bet is to click on the thumbnail first. This will open a preview version of the pattern. Click on the preview and it will open in a new window full-sized. If you like it that way, you can then right-click and choose save as. This should help.

I also found if you save the file to your disk and then open it with Microsoft Office Picture manager you will get a better print out.

click on the thumbnail and larger PDF picture will open. In the upper left corner is the icon for a printer. Click on that icon and it will print out a regular size pattern. If you want to save the pattern to your computer, right click on the second icon (a page) and choose "save" and it will save a copy to your computer.
