G'day all,
sharing a few pics of a couple of plaques I just completed.
Had a custom order for one so stack cut 2, not sure how it'll sell but it doesn't take any longer to cut two than one.

Pattern from WTB
Cut out of 9mm pine ply, backed with 3mm ply, one backing stained teak and the other Jarrah. 3 coats of 20% gloss lacquer, cut back with 320g between coats.
Cut with an FD UR #2

I like the Jarrah backed one best, and will let the customer pic hers then take the 2nd to mkt.

Who are the Wooden Teddy Bear Pattern makers?

Along time ago on AFSP someone listed the names that went with the pattern makers initials.

This is not my complete list of initials that I would like to track down (so don't feel bad if I left you out)

I am asking because... Maybe the magazine could publish some of these FRETWORK artists patterns in the magazine.

SAM is Sylvia
TBP
CW
SM
GSA
WT
AP
WKS
CC

I have found that the Teddy Bear Collection has more things that I am interested than the other catalogs.

Also on my list of favorites artists
Phunky, Emmit, Andy Deane, Old Grizz, Noel (and more)
and yes even Kevin..though the Jedis portraits are a challenge.

I thought it easier to explain what I like in fretwork by listing the artist vs trying to describe what I want to cut. Sylvia is still number #1 on my list. followed by Jim Sweet.

Group,

We lost our daughter (38 y.o.) last May to cancer. I am doing the attached for my wife (and me) for Christmas. Any tips before I give this a go?

Thanks,
