I ordered FD-SR blades because I've read many good things about them on this forum. I've been working with them for 4 days now and am not able to adjust to them. I emailed Mike and he suggested they are a bit aggressive, use good speed and tension. I've done this but I just can't control them. I don't think it is my machine because when I switch back to the Olson blades I don't have this problem. I like the cut with these blades - it seems cleaner so I don't want to give up on them. Anyone else had this problem and any ideas on how to adjust? (I'm getting behind on my Christmas gifts). Thanks very much.

Hello everyone,
I have only been a member here for a month or so and I mentioned in a post or two that Im about to upgrade to the dewalt scroll saw. I have read many threads about the dewalt (pros and cons) and I definately like what I have read and seen so far. I would like to ask the sawers here about ordering from Grizzly tools, I have never ordered anything from them before and I was wondering if anyone had encountered any bad service?? I also have a question about the dewalt that might not be an issue anymore, after reading previous threads, is Grizzly selling the "TYPE 1 or TYPE 2" saw and how do you know what type you have? I would also like to ask if the dewalt saws sold nowdays still have some of the inherent problems or grimlins that I have read so much about here in the forum or have they been corrected by now. I still have about a week before I order it, I still want to get in on the low price that Grizzly has it at, I believe it is selling for $449.00 plus shipping......Thanks for any help and thanks for everyone here that makes up this pretty cool forum.............tommy

Hi Everyone, I went to look at a Delta SS350 scroll saw today..apperance whys it didn't really look like it had been used much..Had a extra table insert and the plastic sawdust tray..When the lady turned it on it sounded as though either the lower or upper arm may have been hitting something..Also the flexable part of the blower tube was missing or broke off..They was asking $60 for it but before she even got it plugged in to show me it works she said she would take $40..I know the blower tube runs between $25-30..

I am just wondering if anyone had known of any issues with the arm hitting something or what the noise may be from? I am mechanically inclined to fix it if I bought it as I have rebuilt a couple older saws in the past..Just wondering if they had a issue with this model to begin with..Hate to buy it and have to invest $100 for parts..But hate to pass it up if its something minor and maybe don't even need parts..I may go back and offer a lower price because it does need some work..

So I've been on the lookout to buy another one. I found it last week at Grizzly.com, the saw, stand and light for $450 plus only a flat $20 for postage. And, oif course, I saved the sales taxes. I ordered it last Wed. and it came on Friday. I think their sale may run to the end of the year.

I'd forgotten how quiet it can be.
