Your hobo looks like a well fed hobo. What color did you use to paint his face. He looks great.

He is about 10-1/2 inches without the base; yes, I like my hobos well fed.

I used (Americana) flesh and bright red; both were applied as washes.

Ed, you can't look like all my carvings; someday I will just have to do a caricature of you.

I wonder if hobos are such popular topics for woodcarvers because of personal histories of carvers or maybe it is our genes? Whatever the reason I enjoy their company on my shelf.
