Recently got a copy of 'Creating Caricature Heads' by Marv Kaisersatt. Wow!!! This is not your usual project type book. It goes into the design concept as well as how to carve what you designed. It's absolutly awesome. I knew his carvings were special, but wasn't sure how his book would come out, it's special too. Got it at LittleShavers, also got the Kaisersatt pattern pack.

Is this just a recent publication?

Yup, brand new this year. By Modern Printers in Fairbault, MN. Really a good job also. Meant for use. Heavy paper, spiral bound, etc. Don't think they sell direct, so LittleShavers is probably your best bet.

OK Ed, You've finally peaked my curiosity. I just emailed Rick and asked for a catalog. I've seen a number of recommendations for him on the board but haven't gotten around to requesting one. You got me motivated.I wish all the publishers would release their carving books spiral bound. It's very handy and you're less likely to have pages falling out. I haven't been carving long and already some of the pages in a couple of my books are getting loose from having them held open to a page. Oh well, just so long as those pages don't get lost I guess I'll be ok.mikeg

I sure did that the hard way. All I had to do was answer the other post with 'LittleShavers has it.'

That's why I buy all my important stuff from LittleShavers. He's almost always got it and you get it right smart like. He's even got stuff that isn't in his catalog, so it doesn't hurt to ask.

Rocket man, I'm not sure who you bought from on Ebay, but most sellers will eventually get the product to you. *The longest I have waited is about 35 days and then was informed the book had been sold to another buyer. * Normally you will get your Ebay item sooner or later. I did see one seller offering that book for $11.51 but with 16 negative feedbacks, I would not buy from that person. It is possible that any seller on Ebay can get a disgruntled customer and end up with a couple neg. feedbacks, but more than that and I look elsewhere. Remember, sometimes it is the USPS that holds up delivery. Naaaaa |
