I really have been very busy cutting for the last month or so even though lawn, garden and granddaughter watching take up a lot of time. Here are some of the projects that I have finished since the end of September. The acrylic ornaments are stack cut from 1/8” thick material and come in 4 colors. They are from patterns dating back to 2002-2004 from CWWC holiday issues that I hadn’t cut before. I finished the edges by holding them in my hand and rapidly passing them through a propane torch that was sitting on my workbench. If you hold them in the flame long enough to get hot, they completely melt and droop so I didn’t have any problem with burning myself. The napkin holders have maple bases with 1/8” bbply uprights. The Shalom and Star of David are my own design I stack cut two of each. The turkey is adapted from a pattern on p. 62 in Lora Irish’s book North American Wildlife Patterns. I stack cut 4 of them. They are all finished in my mixture of ½ red oak and ½ dark walnut stain and coated with semi-gloss polyurethane. The dreidels are from Carl Hird-Rutter's pattern in the holiday issue of the magazine. Thanks to my forgetful middle son, I had to redesign and recut a single copy of the PharmD plaque I cut this summer for him and two of his buddies. This also involved making a 4th frame to hold it. It seems that he forgot to tell me about the 4th person on their team for the last two years who also needed a plaque. There went three days into the past. He’ll get it this week. I am not reposting the plaque pictures here. As usual, all comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated. george star & shalom napkin holders.JPG rooster napkin holder.JPG dreidels.JPG acrylic ornaments 1.JPG acrylic ornaments 2.JPG

G'day George, Nice stuff mate. The Decorations really sing. My Daughter started a part time job last week so I can commiserate with you mate, heaps of shed time taken up dropping off and collecting and looking after the Grandson. I can bellyache, but wouldn't miss it for the world.

Thanks for all the nice comments folks. We also wouldn't miss it for the world John. By the way, the acrylics were cut with a #2 or #5 reverse tooth blade depending on the detail. The only drawback is that the acrylic smells nasty (but not toxic) when you cut it and the dust clings to everything it get near (electrostatic attractions) and is a pain to clean up. george
