Default Sylvia's Wedding rings & cross ( Zebrawood )

Not really a brag but of all of these I have cut I think the zebrawood really stands out the best. I have uploaded more of my cuttings to my gallery as well..

Here is a link to the Wedding rings

Thanks,

The zebra wood is beautiful and you obviously have a nice touch on the saw, too. Nice work!

You did Sylvia's pattern proud with cutting the Wedding Rings out of Zebra wood. I'm curious about the Zebra wood. Is it easy/hard to cut?

Thanks for all the nice comments..I know the photo is not to great (should have turned the flash off I think ) but this wood I thought was very cool..

Darrel, My opinion is the wood is very hard to cut..I had a hard time getting a blade that would cut it as fast as I would have liked to cut..However I rarely ever cut much of any wood thicker than 1/2" I originally thought this was 1" thick wood but it was really just over 1" so this may have contributed to the hard/slow cutting..Also I was in a hurry to get it done as I had several other things going on that needed to get done so feeling rushed and this slow cutting wood didn't go to well for me..I think if I would have not been rushed so much and if it was less than 1" thick like I am used to cutting it may have not been so bad..I have some more of these to make for a very good friend that is getting married early next year..I think I may make it out of the zebrawood again but maybe more like 1/2" - 3/4" and see how that goes..

Thanks again for all the comments,
Kevin
