made these as christmas gift used 1/2inch pine semi gloss lacquer an oak stain im cutting again

Outstanding work on both. I kind of like the shelf a bit better. What, if you don't mind my asking did you use as a backer on the Bass. It looks really well done. Thank You for sharing.
