Have you ever bought a piece of machinery and thought to yourself, "why in the hell didn't I buy this years ago? " Well, I did when my Oscillating Spindle Sander showed up and I used it tonight. I am impressed with my Dewalt sliding mitre saw, and my drum sander, but boy, the little spindle sander is a joy to use. Up until now, I've used a home made spindle sander and it has done the job, but this new one is a sweet piece of gear. Did I mention, I like my Spindle Sander

I've been looking at buying one lately. I have a drill press that has an oscillating mode, but I think I would use the spindle sander more. I wish I could find one for less than $200, though.

WD, Here's proof ![]() The Drum sander and home made reducer for the dust extractor. The Spindle Sander and it's home made cousin on the left. The Dewalt. Now this is also one sweet bit of gear. All the settings are absolutely precise, it's smooth and the cuts are nice and neat. You truly do only get what you pay for.
